With the successful Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation, Chinese enterprises are increasing active for the Belt and Road Initiative (the "B&R"). With the principle of wide consultation, joint contribution and shared benefits, many Chinese enterprises organically link their development strategies with the cooperation plans of many "B&R" countries by following the principle of pragmatic cooperation and mutual benefit.
The key area of the "B&R" is to focus on infrastructure construction in some developing countries, which involves not only the hardware facilities such as roads, railways, ports & terminals, and communication networks, but also the informatization, software and solution services.
This has offered another opportunity for many Chinese enterprises to "go global". As an innovative technology service provider, iSoftStone Information Technology (Group) Co., Ltd. (iSoftStone) is responding to the initiative and boosts the "B&R" countries and regions to realize their informatization-based and digital upgrading.
For one thing, iSoftStone keeps strengthening its international exchanges and cooperation, sharing resources with the governments, industry alliances, enterprises and well-known universities in the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe, the UK, Singapore, India, Egypt and others. For another, iSoftStone, by virtue of years' accumulation and experience in digitalization of domestic market, is expected to promote the digital projects in the "B&R" countries and regions.
According to Mr. Walter Fang, Executive Vice President of iSoftStone, these efforts mark the beginning of high engagement in the B&R. In the future, iSoftStone will further exert its own strength, cooperate with overseas partners in a win-win manner, and jointly build a community with a shared economic development in related fields.
Opening and sharing
The "B&R" is a win-win cooperation model to promote common development and common prosperity of different nations. Participating enterprises shall keep open and inclusive during working with all partners to promote economic integration and development. iSoftStone has been taking part in the construction of B&R for building a business ecosystem, and is shaping a comprehensive partnership with multiple resources.
In China, iSoftStone is Huawei's strategic partner. Both sides exploit own advantages and provide various solutions in the digital transformation of cities and enterprises. Such service capabilities and solutions are beneficial to the "B&R" countries and regions to improve efficiency and value.
Overseas, iSoftStone has shared its experience on many international occasions; with such open exchanges, it can gather various resources and realize value sharing.
For example, iSoftStone exchanges experiences with overseas peers in Hong Kong, Singapore, South Korea, the United States, and other places through different forms of cooperation.
Further, iSoftStone invited representatives of partners from many countries and regions for multi-level exchanges. In the past year or two, delegations from Belarus, Egypt and other countries and regions have had in-depth discussions with iSoftStone on multiple issues.
After those open exchanges and cooperation, the experience of some overseas peers and domestic partners can be absorbed by iSoftStone, and the advantages of iSoftStone can be in turn referred by partners, producing a virtuous circle that iSoftStone can understand the needs of users more detailed to better serve customers while enriching the capabilities of digital solutions.
Proven application
In domestic B&R provinces and cities, iSoftStone actively responds to the national strategy of innovation-driven development, and promotes the development of big data and cloud computing in related fields.
As early as a few years ago, the Northwest China SME cloud platform developed by iSoftStone was officially put into operation, which greatly facilitates the daily operation of SMEs in Gansu and other places. In Sanming City, Fujian Province, one of the core areas of the "B&R", iSoftStone, together with the local administrative departments, is reshaping Sanming City into the first demonstration base of the municipal-level urban cloud service platform and the park management big data service platform in Fujian.
In terms of cross-border e-commerce, Chengdu cross-border trade e-commerce public service platform was officially launched last year. As the designated portal of cross-border e-commerce service in Chengdu, some parts of the platform and the customs supervision system were developed by iSoftStone. In Ordos, iSoftStone has built and operated the "cross-border e-commerce Imported Goods Experience Hall" to boost the innovative modes of local e-commerce.
With these ready infrastructures, iSoftStone, at the end of last year and the beginning of this year, further signed major cooperation agreements with Ulanqab, Hohhot, Xilin Gol League, Ordos City, Damao Banner (Baotou City) and other cities in Inner Mongolia, strengthening the deployment of big data, cloud computing and other fields, and jointly exploring the potential of big data resources in Inner Mongolia. Especially in Hohhot, iSoftStone will build a big data application industrial base, which will make a great sense in promoting the further development of Inner Mongolia as a national comprehensive test area for big data.
Under the initiative of "the B&R" that emphasizes the necessity to strengthen economic integration and development and build the 21st century digital silk road, iSoftStone is, upon painstaking efforts, undoubtedly becoming an important participant in the digitalization of the "B&R" countries and regions, contributing to the economic development community.
