Recently, the finals of the "OpenHarmony Application Ecosystem Challenge Based on x86 Architecture", jointly organized by the OpenAtom Foundation, CCTV.com, Jiangsu Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, Wuxi Municipal People's Government, Jiangsu Software Industry Talent Development Foundation, Suzhou Industrial Park, Wuxi High-tech Zone, and co-organized by SwanLink, concluded successfully in Wuxi. The challenge lasted for nearly 3 months and received widespread attention and active participation from various sectors, including enterprises, universities, and individual developers. More than 120 teams/individuals enthusiastically signed up for the competition, bringing a splendid technical feast for the industry.
After long-term development and application, the x86 architecture has established its mainstream standing in the PC field, with stability and compatibility highly recognized by the industry. Combining OpenHarmony with x86 architecture will undoubtedly further expand the boundaries of PC application development, unleashing greater innovation potential.

He hoped that through this competition, more developers would be attracted to join the OpenHarmony family, unleashing more innovative applications and injecting strong momentum for OpenHarmony to achieve new breakthroughs in the PC field.

The hardware platform for this competition mainly revolves around "Intel i3/i5/i7" processors. Participants are required to develop projects and solutions that enrich the OpenHarmony application ecosystem and enhance user experience, focusing on OpenHarmony systems and compatible smart hardware. The judging panel consists of technical experts from the OpenAtom Foundation, Intel, iSoftStone, SwanLink, and others. They will evaluate participating teams based on various criteria such as "completeness of functionality", "innovation", "interest or application", and "compatibility with the x86 platform". After intense technical competition, 6 teams including "Nuts Setting Sail", "Ordinary Road", "Small Tu'er", "Good with Codes", "June Summer", and "Zhihong x86 Desktop" stood out and successfully advanced to the finals.
During the final round, the 6 strong teams took turns to present their projects and answer questions from the professional judging panel. In the end, the "Zhihong x86 Desktop" team won the first prize for its unique and innovative technological application. "Ordinary Road", "Good with Codes", and "Nuts Setting Sail" were awarded the second and third prizes respectively. This competition not only unearthed a group of excellent developers and provided them with substantial cash rewards but also offered an opportunity for participating teams to engage in in-depth discussions with OpenHarmony experts, thereby promoting further development and application of open-source technology.
In recent years, SwanLink has accumulated rich practical experience in national university-level competitions and OpenHarmony community development contests, reaching out to more than 50 universities with technical services. It is worth mentioning that SwanLink has exclusively completed the adaptation of Intel chips based on the OpenHarmony 4.0 Release version for x86 architecture on the PC side, pioneering the connection between the OpenHarmony mobile and PC platforms in the industry and showcasing the future development blueprint of OpenHarmony PC.
